Jefferson Chen
Founding Principal, M.S, P.E
Jefferson has over twenty years of professional experience in engineering design, permitting and construction management of residential and commercial buildings. He has also gained valuable experience in real estate investments through acquisition, renovation and interior staging. He has developed keen eyes for form and function and pays special attention to construct-ability in the design phase. Jefferson was born in Shanghai and grew up in San Francisco Bay Area. Among many recreational interests, world travel and health/ fitness are his passions. He has traveled to 35 different countries and 170 different cities. He cross-trains for fitness and practices yoga, and has been a practicing Nationally Certified Massage Therapist (NCTMB) for two decades.

Manolo (Toi) Fernando
Project Engineer
Toi received his BS degree major in civil engineering from Columban College in Philippines. He has been a registered civil engineer in Philippines since 1993 and has over 15 years of experience in structural engineering practice in USA and Philippines. A result driven engineer, Toi takes every opportunity that comes along to learn more and gain new professional experience. Aside from engineering design, He is also knowledgeable in CAD drafting and other computer aided software such as ETABS, STAAD, etc. In his free time Toi enjoys cycling and playing basketball and table tennis. He speaks fluent English and Tagalog.

Aga Sidarta
Project Engineer
Aga received his bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia. During his time on the east coast, he has had experience in designing with a variety of materials, including wood, steel, concrete, masonry and aluminum, and has extensive experience in designing to high wind speeds along the Jersey Shore. In addition to his interests in structural engineering, Aga enjoys traveling, hiking, bicycle touring and is also an avid rock climber, having climbed in California, Nevada and along the entirety of the east coast. Aga is also fluent in English and Indonesian.

James Daughtrey, AIA
Designer
James (Jim) has over thirty years of professional experience in all aspects of architectural design of various building types, including residential, healthcare, educational and commercial. He has lived and worked in North Carolina, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Seattle and San Francisco. While on the east coast, Jim served on the Chapel Hill Historic District Commission. He has renovated five residences in the cities where he lived and is about to start his next in San Francisco. Jim has traveled extensively, loves cooking and exercising.

Aqueel Morawala
Project Engineer
Aqueel received his Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from California State University Northridge in Los Angeles and Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Gujarat Technological University in India. Ever since his joining, Aqueel has steadily grown to become one of the integral member amassing Structural and Architectural experience in a variety of projects of Wood, Steel, Concrete, & Light gauge steel with a special emphasis in Residential, Commercial & Mixed-use Buildings. Aside from work, Aqueel is an avid soccer fan and likes to travel, hike, and spend time with his family. He is also fluent in Engish, Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu, and Arabic.

Aside from structural design, Joan also takes interests in reading, travelling and spending time with her family. She speaks fluent English and Tagalog.

Anthiea (Yin) Li
Project Engineer
Antheia received her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California-Irvine. Her passion in solving real-life problems and improving the standard of living for people, to meet their specified needs, particularly in residential setting, have landed her with Enertia Designs. She enjoys working with other equally passionate engineers in various projects. On her free time, she takes joys in spending time to herself, whether it is traveling, hiking, dancing, or a chill day at a local cafe.
